Gucci x Oura: Fashion Meets Technology

Gucci's collaboration with Oura led to the birth of the Gucci Oura Ring, which is the Oura Generation 3 ring but with the class of Gucci.

Design

This brilliant ring is 0.3 inches wide, weighing almost 4 grams, and made of a black PVD titanium band. The branding design of Gucci with the two G's interlocking and the double edge lining with 18 karat Gold provides an exquisite finishing touch to the ring, which has swept all fashion enthusiasts off the floor.

Specs and Capabilities

If you have an idea about the Generation 3 Oura ring, you'll see that this version does not bring anything new to the table. But, the already existing features of this intelligent wearable make it a top contender among Fitness devices in the market.

This wellness tracker ring focuses mainly on three daily scores: Readiness, Sleep, and Activity. And to keep track of these, it measures some of the body's internal metrics like Body Temperature, Heart Rate, Sp02 movement, and others. Using these metrics assesses what your body is going through. If you are getting enough sleep, ready for all the tasks of the day, doing physical activities, or if your period is around, this Smart ring can tell you all of it.

One of the most attractive measurements is your sleep. It tracks your REM sleep, light sleep, nighttime heart rate, time spent in bed, and so many other things related to your sleep to provide you with an overall score that tells if you have been getting good sleep and rest or not. And with that in mind, it recommends sleeping early or getting power naps to make your life healthier.

These are tracked through special sensors inside the Gucci x Oura ring, which sends all of the data to the Oura app linked to your Oura account. The app has been significantly optimized and is very easy to use. It displays all the metrics above and advises on improving your health. An almost six days battery life allows users to wear it almost all the time.

In Box Accessories

This version of the Oura ring comes in a sleek Gucci branded box that looks very premium. Upon opening the package, we see the ring on a charging plate with the Gucci labels. It is minimalistic and looks fantastic. Removing this from the box, we can see a Gucci branded USB C cable, which might be one of the most expensive cables in the world. Removing the cable, we get a user manual in multiple languages.

Pricing

Pricing is where many fitness enthusiasts might take a step back. Being just a collaboration, the price of this Gucci x Oura is $950, which is a significant jump compared to the Generation 3 ring, which is priced at $300. Paying an extra $650 for just the Gucci logo might not make sense to many.

However, one perk is the free lifetime Oura membership you get when you purchase the Gucci x Oura ring. If you buy a Generation 3, you will have to pay $5.99 every month to have access to the detailed metrics in the Oura app. This paywall is absent in the Gucci collab model, and you only need to buy the ring to start tracking your health and routine.

Conclusion

When wearing this ring, you do not have to worry if it will look good with your clothes because the design goes with everything. Moreover, with it weighing so tiny, you can forget that you are wearing it, just like regular rings. You can wear it almost all the time and track your health, sleep, and activity, making adjustments to live a healthier and happier life.
